The housing crisis
Rents are through the roof. Young people can’t afford to move out. Families are stuck in dangerous homes.
And councils? They’re drowning in the cost of emergency housing.
160,000 children with no permanent home.
1.2 million people stuck on housing waiting lists.
What we’re asking for
The Government says they will build 1.5 million homes, but how many will be council and social rent? How many of these will people actually be able to afford?
We can no longer afford for MPs to dodge the question. Don’t give us fluff, give us numbers. The devil’s in the details, and we need it in black and white.
